On 16 October 2024, from 02:00 to 03:15 pm, 5 European brother projects are organising an open discussion under a common banner to build synergies between Atlantic and Nord Sea Areas: Green Supply Chains, HYDEA, North Sea H2 Valley Ports, DIOL and REDII Ports.
Who is this meeting for?
- All institutional stakeholders (EU, national and regional levels) concerned by energy transition of ports and port logistic chains
- Energy and maritime transport companies, funding agencies, regulation bodies
Why attend this meeting?
We are all concerned by the port and transport decarbonation. Hydrogen and e-fuels are promising solutions. However, there are still many barriers to overcome before reaching the maturity of the value chain. The solutions suppose strong and effective coordination and cooperation between all stakeholders. This meeting is done for addressing the different issues and defining studies and actions that will be undertaken by the consortia during the incoming years to reduce these barriers.
What is the agenda?
- Challenges related to the transition to hydrogen and e-fuels in the maritime sector
- National and European regulation framework to establish
- Building a strategy shared by ports, shipping companies and energy industries
- And any other subject that seems important to deal with.
How to attend this meeting?
- In-person in Brest (France), as a side event of the workshop Green fuels for the maritime sector: challenges, risks and ways forward organised during the Sea Tech Week event
- A remote access will be provided for those who can’t join us in Brest (link provided soon)
